About cable probes

Cable probes are compact RTD and TC thermometers equipped with a non-removable, flexible cable. They are available either without process connection for plugging in or with various standard process connections like compression fitting and thread or special options like weld-on pads or bayonet locks. The probe sheath of cable probes is in direct contact with the process medium. Depending on the application, the products of the Endress+Hauser iTHERM CableLine are available with different sheath and cable materials.

There are innumerous possible applications for cable probes. Typical exampleas are machinery, HVAC systems, storage temperature monitoring, laboratory equipment, autoclaves, bearings, high-pressure or cryogenic applications. Cable probes are an optimal choice for difficult installation conditions, such as applications where space is limited or the measuring location requires bending of the sensor. They can also be used for surface temperature monitoring of reactors.
